Calgel Teething Gel Calgel Teething Gel has been formulated to bring rapid soothing relief from teething pain.   Calgel Teething Gel provides relief from the symptoms of teething pain. The lidocaine (a local anaesthetic) in Calgel Teething Gel is used to help relieve teething pain and soothe infants' gums. If your child has and intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before using this product. This product contains small amounts of ethanol (alcohol), less than 100mg per dose. Xylitol may have a laxative effect. The castor oil may cause stomach upsets and diarrhoea. How to use Calgel Teething Gel Calgel Teething Gel is for topical oral use   Not recommended for babies under 3 months   Babies over 3 months: Approximately one-third of an inch (7.5 mm)   Place the quantity of gel onto a clean pad of cotton wool or the tip of a clean finger and gently rub onto the affected area of the gum.   If necessary, repeat after 20 minutes Do not use more than 6 doses   in one day.   You must see a doctor if your child's symptoms worsen or do not improve   Overdose Do not exceed the recommended dose If anybody uses more Calgel Teething Gel than they should or if the gel has been accidentally swallowed, talk to a doctor or pharmacist immediately.   If you cannot do this, go to the nearest hospital accident and emergency (casualty) department.
